How to use image cropper
- Select a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device.
- Choose square, portrait or landscape. The crop keeps the centre of your image.
- Review the result. For export tools, download the new file and keep your original.
What happens to my image?
Processing happens locally using your browser’s image and canvas features. The file is not uploaded. Large images can use significant device memory, so this tool limits file size and dimensions.
Will this replace the original?
No. The tool creates a separate download. Metadata and animation are not preserved. JPEG output flattens transparency onto white.
Does every browser support every output format?
PNG and JPEG are widely supported. WebP export depends on your browser; an unsupported format produces an error instead of a mislabeled file.
